Musicus Heritage Stories Concert Series at Tai Kwun: Tastes and Timbres
29 May - 31 May
Musicus Society presents Tastes and Timbres, four concerts inspired by Tai Kwun and Central’s multicultural spirit and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.
On 29 and 30 May, Musicus Soloists Hong Kong, a handpicked ensemble by the renowned cellist Trey Lee, performs Western masterpieces alongside violinist Anna-Liisa Bezrodny and violinist/violist Gareth Lubbe, while musicians from the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra perform a unique commission. On 31 May, two chamber concerts feature world music and Lubbe’s spellbinding overtone singing, plus an optional guided heritage tour of Tai Kwun.
The experience is elevated by bespoke scents by Vanessa Choi, inspired by Tai Kwun’s heritage and its neighbourhood.
