SUMMARY:Musicus Heritage Stories Concert Series at Tai Kwun: Tastes and Timbres
DESCRIPTION:Musicus Society presents Tastes and Timbres\, four concerts inspired by Tai Kwun and Central’s multicultural spirit and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. \nOn 29 and 30 May\, Musicus Soloists Hong Kong\, a handpicked ensemble by the renowned cellist Trey Lee\, performs Western masterpieces alongside violinist Anna-Liisa Bezrodny and violinist/violist Gareth Lubbe\, while musicians from the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra perform a unique commission. On 31 May\, two chamber concerts feature world music and Lubbe’s spellbinding overtone singing\, plus an optional guided heritage tour of Tai Kwun. \nThe experience is elevated by bespoke scents by Vanessa Choi\, inspired by Tai Kwun’s heritage and its neighbourhood. \n\nEnsemble Concerts: 29 May and 30 May\, 8pm | $280\nChamber Concerts: 31 May\, 2pm and 4pm | $210 and $150\nVenue: JC Cube\, Tai Kwun\nTickets: Available now from art-mate.net.
