Homeware and lifestyle store Bamboa Home offers a range of items made from sustainable bamboo, from bed sheets to bath towels and beyond. Here, the team highlights some key items, including its recently launched pillows and duvets.
#1 Bamboo Towels
“Our 100 percent eco-friendly bamboo bath towels are quick-drying and antibacterial; they’re made of eco-friendly bamboo fabric that naturally repels odours and allergens and brings a freshness and softness like you’ve never experienced before.”

#2 Bedding Sets
“The bamboo fibre in our bedding sets is hypoallergenic and anti-bacterial due to a natural property called bamboo ‘kun’. The 100 percent eco-friendly, super silky and buttery soft sets wash well, dry easily and keep everyone cool and comfortable in the HK weather.”
#3 Bamboo Duvets And Pillows
“We’re now offering 100 percent bamboo duvets and pillows to complement our other bedding products. These are easy to wash on a low temperature, and then they just air-dry.”
What else?
“Bamboa Home provides a bespoke tailoring service (all done by the highest quality local Hong Kong tailors), which allows anyone who moves here with their existing beds, pillows and duvets to get our bedding products made to suit their needs.
The Grow Bamboo Initiative
Founded in 2020 by Bamboa’s CEO Julia Washbourne and forest and climate specialist Dr Shyam Paudel, The Grow Bamboo Initiative is an NPO that helps to grow bamboo in areas like Nepal, where climate change has negatively impacted villages due to flooding and landslides. Bamboo helps to solidify these areas and make them safe for inhabitants. Villagers can also use the bamboo for their own purposes to help them economically. The initiative has already seen a hectare of 250 bamboos planted to support a dozen local families in Nepal’s Kavre district.
