When was the last time you truly felt like yourself? Not just as a mother, leader or partner, but as the woman you once dreamed of becoming? That’s the question executive coach and trainer DEVIKA DAS asks participants in her unique full-day retreat in Hong Kong for women.
Who do you believe will benefit most from the one-day retreat?
It’s ideal for women who are feeling stuck or overwhelmed in any aspect of their lives. Or for those seeking to reconnect with the most important person in their life – themselves. I balance this retreat with my life as a learning coach with INSEAD and private leadership coaching. I can only take up a handful of retreat clients every month, some of whom fly in from other countries.
What inspired you to create the retreat in Hong Kong?
With over 20 years of coaching women and being one myself, I’ve been inspired by the stories of many mothers who juggle numerous responsibilities and often lose sight of their own identities. They want to be better mothers, enhance their relationships, and advance in their careers, but sometimes they find themselves caught in repetitive patterns that hold them back.
What can participants expect in terms of personal discovery?
They can expect a nurturing and creative space where they can reconnect with who they are beyond their roles as mothers, leaders and partners. We’ll explore their emotional and psychological landscapes through art, complemented by moments of leisure such as coffee and lunch.
Imagine arriving in a peaceful retreat setting where you’re encouraged to relax and be yourself. Picture yourself in comfortable, cosy clothes, lounging with a warm cup of chai in hand, gazing out over serene greenery. The air is fresh, the atmosphere calm. You’re in a supportive space where meaningful conversation flows naturally, celebrating life’s journey and embracing each step with warmth and understanding.
This is a unique opportunity to take a step back, indulge in some self-care and reflect on your life, reinforcing a commitment to personal growth. By engaging in this journey, you can set a powerful intention for the future. You’ll emerge with renewed clarity, and with practical tools for breaking free from limiting patterns and making lasting change.
How does the use of art play into this journey of self-discovery?
Drawing is a wonderful medium for self-expression and reflection and tapping into what remains unsaid. You don’t have to be Leonardo da Vinci! This process can encourage you to visualise your aspirations and confront any negative patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
How do you help women identify and overcome negative patterns?
During the retreat, we’ll focus on recognising these patterns and understanding their origins. I’ll guide participants through exercises that illuminate their behaviours and thought processes. By fostering open discussions and providing practical tools, they’ll learn how to shift these negative patterns and cultivate a more empowering mindset.
It’s about helping them reclaim their narrative and move forward with confidence. With over 20 years of experience in leadership coaching, I ensure participants feel they are in capable hands.
What would you say to someone who is considering joining but isn’t sure if they’re ready?
This retreat is a selective experience meant for women who are genuinely open to introspection and willing to look at past patterns and let them go. If you’re ready to reflect deeply, embrace a new path forward, and are open to change, I encourage you to book a consultation. We’ll discuss your goals and see if this journey aligns with where you are in your life right now.
