# Hebe Haven Yacht Club watersports and sailing classes
Hebe Haven’s popular Summer Camps programme has a focus on youth sailing classes and watersports, and is an excellent way for kids to have fun on the water and meet new friends while learning new skills.
Multi-activity Week
A great chance for young sailors to try out a mix of water-based and land sports, amidst Sai Kung’s beautiful nature. Activities can include kayaking, dinghy sailing, stand up paddle-boarding, a day tour to the outer islands aboard the Hebe One, and other fun off-site activities. Optimist Stages 1-4 The Optimist is a small, single-handed sailing dinghy aimed at young sailors. Stages one to four of this programme enable young sailors, from age seven to teenagers, to enjoy structured sailing classes or sessions, whether they’re keen to sail socially, be competitive, or take on the role of an Assistant Instructor.
Sailing classes are tailor-made for both beginners and improvers, and include theory, sailing techniques and manoeuvres, and practical knowledge. Participants record their hours in a logbook, and receive a HHYC Certificate for successful completion.
HKSF Levels 1, 2 and 3
Also available this summer are various sailing courses of the HKSF (Sailing Federation of Hong Kong, China), from Level 1 (“Introduction to Sailing”) – a short introduction to dinghy sailing, including basic boat handling techniques – to Level 2 (“Basic Skills”) and Level 3 (“Improving Techniques”). By the end of the third level, sailors will have a competent, safe and practical approach to the sailing of small open boats.
Hebe Haven Summer Camps run weekly from 23 June to 22 August. Fees vary, starting from $3,000 for a member and $4,000 for a non member.

# Faust International Youth Theatre Camps
Faust Summer Programmes are back for a 26th season of dramatic and creative adventures! The week-long holiday programmes provide a fun-filled learning environment and experience for children aged three to 18 to develop their self-confidence and teamwork on the stage and on the page, while fostering a respectful environment where they can learn from each other’s experiences.
There are three different week-long theatre camps available this summer, from 23 June to 22 August, in locations across Hong Kong.
Summer Theatre (ages 3 to 18)
Boost your confidence, communication and expressive skills through drama-based challenges, acting and movement.
Creative Writing (ages 6 to 14)
Learn and practice new writing techniques to express yourself confidently on the page.
Musical Theatre (ages 8 to 18)
Develop your skills in singing, dancing and acting and learn how to be a triple-threat performer!
This year, Faust is offering dedicated sessions specifically for teens aged 15 to 18 in both its Summer Theatre and Musical Theatre programmes, providing older students with more advanced challenges and opportunities to enhance their performing arts skills.
It’s also worth noting that the Faust team prepare new content and themes for each Summer Programme week, since members tend to register for more than a single week or programme. Wherever possible, workshops are scheduled so that children can join Summer Theatre, Musical Theatre and/or Creative Writing programmes in the same week for a complete full-day learning experience.
Locations for theatre camps
Hong Kong Island: Sheung Wan, Taikoo Shing, Ap Lei Chau
Kowloon & New Territories: Kowloon Tong, Ma On Shan, Tseung Kwan O, Tung Chung
