From fine dining to street food, one of the best things about living in Hong Kong has to be that we are spoilt for choice when it comes to Michelin star restaurants. The 17th and latest version of the guide, the Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2025, lists 76 restaurants in Hong Kong and 19 in Macau – a total of 95 – that have been given the prestigious stars. Find out who they were here!

Three-star Restaurants and Green Stars
There were only minor changes in the three-star list, with six Hong Kong and two Macau restaurants maintaining their stars from 2024. HK’s three-star venues, which are deemed ‘exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey’, are as follows:
- Amber
- 8 1/2 Otto e Mezzo – Bombana
- Caprice
- Forum
- Sushi Shikon
- Ta Vie
- T’ang Court
The only new addition is Amber, the French fine-dining restaurant helmed by Dutch chef Richard Ekkebus in The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, which was promoted from its two-star rating of last year. (Three-starred L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon isn’t on the list because it’s currently closed for renovations.)
The duo of three-starred restaurants in Macau for 2025 are Jade Dragon and Rubuchon au Dôme. This is the same as in 2024.
Five restaurants that last year earnt the coveted Green Star, awarded for sustainability efforts such as cutting down the use of plastic, have had the same award bestowed on them this year, with no newcomers to the list. They are:
- Amber
- Feuille
- Mora
- Roganic
- UTM Educational Restaurant (Macau)
Two Stars, One Star & Others
This year’s guide has 17 two-star eateries, the same as last year. The eleven two-star venues in Hong Kong are identical to 2024, and include the likes of Tin Lung Heen, Bo Innovation, L’Envol and Rùn.
While there was no new HK restaurant with a second star this year, in Macau, Chef Tam’s Seasons was promoted from one star, joining Alain Ducasse at Morpheus, The Eight and others with two.
As for the one-star establishments – which denotes ‘quality cooking, worth a stop’ – there are 58 restaurants on the last. This is the two down from last year, and includes three restaurants promoted from the “Selected” list: Ami, Plaisance by Mauro Colagreco and Tuber Umberto Bombana.
Prominent names in the one-star list include the likes of Duddell’s, Fook Lam Moon, Loaf On, Louise, Roganic, The Chairman and Yardbird.
Another 65 restaurants across Hong Kong and Macau appeared in the Selected category, which means the restaurant is recognised by Michelin but is yet to receive an award. Among more than a dozen new names emerged here, including Magistracy Dining Room and Prince and the Peacock.
The Bib Gourmand is a separate award bestowed by Michelin guide inspectors for serving good value food. Like the Selected category, 65 Bibs were awarded this year, honouring everything from roti stalls to noodle restaurants.
Let’s Eat!
In all, it’s another amazing effort by all these restauranteurs, and we congratulate them all on their efforts.
Now that we know which restaurants received all the gongs, it’s time to start booking some tables!
The Michelin guide is produced in over 25 countries. It features some of the best gourmet dining in the world as well as new and emerging trends and young chefs. Read more about this year’s winners here.
