1908 BC
No surprise that Christmas is a big deal at this British-Chinese restaurant in Sheung Wan. With the season upon us, 1908 BC has unveiled a festive set menu (from $598 per person) designed for groups of four or more, with menu items including sesame prawn toast and honey pork rib, cream of turkey and chestnut soup, crispy aromatic duck, cranberry tangy prawns, fried calamari with black bean sauce, sautéed sugar snaps, baby corn and pumpkin, and bacon and egg fried rice. A festive dessert completes the experience. The restaurant’s aim? To honour those dishes that many people remember fondly while cooking them with attention and warmth.
The Hari Hong Kong
The Hari Hong Kong is ringing in the festive season – and celebrating its fifth anniversary! – by inviting guests to new holiday menus, a tree-lighting ceremony and a special staycation package available from 22 December to 2 January. The latter is a one-night stay that includes dining credit, breakfast for two, anniversary gifts and in-room treats. Guests staying on 31 December can also access the New Year’s Eve countdown party.
December will also see a charity market run with the Hong Chi Association (4 December), featuring workshops, handmade items and a carol performance. Plus, there’s Italian dining at Lucciola and Japanese at Zoku, both offering special menus for Christmas (24-26 December) and New Year’s Eve. The Terrace ends the year with a fab countdown party!
Also, the hotel’s new digital gift cards make the ideal Christmas present, and you get a bonus 10 percent added to any purchase over $1,000 by the end of December.
TANGO
Argentinian steakhouse TANGO, known for its lively open-grill kitchen, is marking the season with special menus on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. On 24 to 25 December, you can enjoy a three-course menu featuring dishes such as sea bass tiradito with mango leche de tigre, braised beef cheek with truffle polenta, and herb-crusted salmon with smoked herring roe, ending with desserts like cherry clafoutis and chocolate marquise.
On 31 December, the countdown to 2026 gets even more exciting thanks to a magic show and a menu offering Lomo Steak Tartare, along with poached shrimp carpaccio, ribeye steaks, a shareable bone-in ribeye, and a hearty Argentine fish stew.

BRAZA
This churrascaria has been drawing diners to Lan Kwai Fong since 2014, with its all-you-can-eat experience centred on fireroasted meats served on giant skewers straight from the grill to the table. A generous buffet of salads and Brazilian staples such as feijoada, house-baked breads, cold cuts and ceviche adds to the feast.
During the holiday period, BRAZA is bringing in extra seasonal dishes, from roasted turkey to honey-glazed ham, along with a dessert bar filled with classics. If you book for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day dinner, you’ll enjoy some lively extra touches, including an Ugly Sweater Award, and a Secret Santa surprise for every guest. On New Year’s Eve, diners can enjoy the usual barbecue spread along with a 30-minute magic show, setting a cheerful tone for the countdown celebrations.

ALTO
There’s a selection of seasonal specials and dinners on offer at ALTO, the Causeway Bay haven that serves modern steakhouse favourites, all with a sky-high view of the HK cityscape. The star of the December festive menu is Christmas turkey – you can opt for a traditional roasted style served with Brussels sprouts, velvety mash plus stuffing, cranberry and gravy, or a rillettes version for a starter, with toasted sourdough, cornichons and cranberry. For Christmas dinner, there are five courses including the likes of guinea fowl with foie gras, and lobster pasta – and save space for the Aomori apple tart.
Of course, with its stunning views, ALTO is a hotspot for New Year’s Eve and a front row for fireworks. To welcome 2026 in style, it has new three- and five-course menus available across two different seating times. Alternatively, hit the roof terrace for a live DJ party with free-flow drinks.

À Poêle
Our bons amis at À Poêle have come up with a fabulous festive menu to help you celebrate Christmas in style. This super set dinner starts at $338 and is brimming with classic French fancies. We were lucky enough to sample the dinner recently, which includes stunning starters of Christmas soup, French onion soup, fruits de mer, charcuterie, escargot and beef tartare. We opted for the decadent foie gras terrine and the celebratory crab blinis, both magnifique.
The mains are even better. Beef cheek pappardelle is a wonderous winter warmer while the leg of lamb ballotine with rosemary mash totally stole the show. Turkey roulade, steak frites, roast chicken and seabream with clams are also on offer.
To finish, the créme brûlée doesn’t disappoint and the chocolate mousse with zesty orange and fresh raspberries is the star on top of the tree. So, give yourselves the perfect treat and celebrate the feast of Noël at À Poêle. The restaurant is on the ground floor of Hing On Mansion in Tai Koo Shing.

Things ramp up on weekends with the option of adding a three-hour bottomless free-flow package to the experience. Available from 12pm to 5pm, it includes Bellinis, Bloody Marys, Mojitos, beer on tap, prosecco and wines, for an afternoon of fun Christmas cheer with friends!
