North District in Miniature Exhibition

In celebration of the 28th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), the “North District in Miniature” exhibition brings together the distinctive landscapes and cultural heritage of North District in one vibrant showcase, offering visitors a deeper understanding of the area’s history, culture and must-see attractions.
The exhibition features 28 exquisite miniature artworks, including seven signature pieces that capture the essence of four areas within North District – Sheung Shui, Fanling, Sha Tau Kok, and Ta Kwu Ling. These include Sheung Shui’s “Liu Man Shek Tong Ancestral Hall”, Fanling’s “Lung Yeuk Tau Ritual Cantonese Opera”, Sha Tau Kok’s “Sha Tau Kok Fish Lantern Dance”, and Ta Kwu Ling’s “The MacIntosh Fort”. Other exhibits include “Mrs Shi Tofu Pudding”, “Walled Villages Hakka Cuisine” and “Homemade Cha Kwo”, offering an immersive journey through the district’s unique history, traditional architecture, festive customs and rural flavours. Through these miniature artworks, visitors are invited to explore North District from a giant’s-eye view, taking in its distinctive architecture and sampling its traditional delicacies along the way.
