Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong (NAIS) is in expansion mode, with the recent announcement of a new Sixth Form Centre opening in August 2026. Here’s what we discovered about this upcoming space for the school’s senior students!
Centre design
The design brief for the Sixth Form Centre in Hung Hom was to create a modern, university-style learning environment that would prepare students for life beyond school. The kind of environment that encourages independence, collaboration and a strong sense of community. Judging from the early rendered images of the facility that you can see on these pages, it will be an excited cohort of Sixth Formers who first walk through the doors!
The NAIS HK team adds that the new senior academic offering will provide students with even greater choice and flexibility for their post-16 studies.
- The Centre will feature dedicated study areas, collaborative learning spaces and specialised facilities. In short, there’s a host of shiny new nooks and pods to help foster independence, curiosity, creativity and academic success.
- Beyond teaching and learning, NAIS HK also intends the new campus to serve as a hub for leadership development, university guidance and community engagement.
- The new Sixth Form Centre has a handy location for students and families. It’s a short walk from the MTR station, and around 15 minutes from the school’s secondary campus in Kwun Tong.
- The finished Centre will enjoy seafront views, helping to create a calm and inspiring setting for learning.
A-Levels
With the introduction of a dedicated space for the Sixth Form, and building on this Hong Kong schools’ established success with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), NAIS will now also offer A-Levels from the new academic year. The school says the expansion reflects a commitment to delivering personalised pathways that support every student in achieving their university and career aspirations. It will also become the only international school in Hong Kong to provide this double offering.
Specific details on how the two pathways will operate together are being carefully planned and will be communicated later in the 2025/26 academic year. Keep an eye on Expat Living for the latest!
To celebrate the launch, NAIS Hong Kong has also introduced a Sixth Form Scholarship Programme, open to both current and new students. These scholarships recognise exceptional academic performance, leadership potential and contributions to school life, reinforcing the school’s commitment to rewarding excellence and supporting access to outstanding education.
A word from the NAIS team

By offering both the IB Diploma and A-Levels, we’re providing NAIS HK students with even greater flexibility to pursue the academic route that best matches their individual strengths, goals, and preferred university destinations.”
