Got a dream jewellery design that you just can’t find in a store? Whether it’s a one-of-a-kind engagement ring or a treasured family heirloom, these bespoke HK jewellers can create masterpieces that capture your vision perfectly.
VN Diamonds
VN Diamonds was named after its founders VIPUL and NIDHI, and born from the pair’s complementary strengths: Vipul’s expertise in sourcing exceptional diamonds and rare gemstones, and Nidhi’s flair for designing bespoke pieces.
“At VN Diamonds, every creation begins with our love for design, concept and remarkable stones,” they say. The company specialises in world-class gemstones: GIA-certified white and fancy colour diamonds, rose-cut diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires, spinels, tanzanites, aquamarines, kunzites, tourmalines and more. Each stunning stone is then set in 18K gold or platinum, chosen to enhance brilliance and durability.

“Our bespoke creations are handmade in Hong Kong by master artisans with decades of experience. From the first consultation to completion, a custom engagement ring typically takes three to six weeks, depending on complexity. And every piece is crafted with precision and a deep sense of personal connection – our guiding principle is: ‘Made with love for your loved one’.”
Among the standout designs at VN Diamonds are timeless solitaires, heirloom pendants, bold cocktail rings and vibrant gemstone sets. “Our creations include the fiery brilliance of a Burma Ruby ring, the lush green elegance of a Colombian Emerald ring, the deep oceanic hues of a Sri Lankan Sapphire ring, and the Lotus Fancy Deep Yellow Diamond ring, which showcases imagination and craftsmanship in perfect harmony.”

Zaha et Cetera
Zaha et Cetera is a family-owned jewellery brand based in Hong Kong, built on a legacy of craftsmanship and a passion for gemstones.
“My inspiration came from a desire to offer clients not just jewellery, but unique, meaningful pieces that celebrate life’s milestones,” says founder RAHILA REFAAQ. “With a background rooted in both design and gemology, I wanted to create a brand that combines personal service, expert sourcing and bespoke artistry.”
Zaha et Cetera specialises in only natural diamonds mostly with diamond grading certificates and a diverse range of natural gemstones, including sapphires, garnets, aquamarines, tourmalines, spinels and moonstones. The pieces are hand-crafted in precious metals such as 18K gold and platinum, to ensure the highest standards of quality and durability.
“All our bespoke pieces are designed inhouse and crafted by skilled artisans with decades of experience here in Hong Kong. The process is highly personalised, from the initial consultation and gemstone selection to final design and setting.
A typical custom-made engagement ring with less complexity takes approximately two weeks from the first meeting to completion.

Niya K
NIYATI KAPADIA never saw herself as a jeweller – she studied art in school and fashion at university, working in the fashion industry in HK before taking a break to have kids.
“My husband has over 25 years of experience in the diamond and jewellery industry, so I used to design and create a few bespoke pieces for friends and family after we had kids,” says Niyati. “I really enjoyed interacting with people and creating their pieces, as well as being an entrepreneur, so I decided to start my own brand and grow it organically. It’s been 10 years now and the journey has been incredible.”
Niyati works primarily with natural and lab-grown diamonds as well as rubies, sapphires and emeralds – and other gemstones based on clients’ bespoke requirements. “We like to provide honest advice and design services; so as long as we have an opportunity to create a fine jewellery piece, we’re open to trying different things.”
She adds that many of her most passionate clients have a large collection of jewellery and are always looking for unique gemstones and designs. “They really challenge us to think out of the box – and what we create for them is definitely outstanding. For example, we recently made a brooch using multiple shapes and diamond colours with a one-of-a-kind kite-shaped diamond in the centre.”
You’ll also find a ready-to-wear collection in the Niya K showroom in Central, and available to shop online.

Splitting Colours Jewellery
This independent brand from Hong Kong specialises in a naturalcoloured gemstone called tourmaline. The signature designs centre around bicolour tourmaline fine jewellery – hence the name Splitting Colours. Founder and designer VINCEE YIP says, “The designs cater to sophisticated minimalists who aren’t defined by mainstream trends and who dare to take creative risks beyond the boundaries.”
The team offers a wide range of bicolour tourmaline fine jewellery, all made with 18-karat solid gold. While natural diamonds can be found in some of the designs, they tend to act as supporting pieces for the carefully curated tourmalines. What’s more, owing to the unique colour configuration in bicolour tourmaline gemstones, every design has to be customised accordingly. “It’s almost impossible to find two identical bicolour gemstones,” says Vincee, “so each item under our brand is essentially one-of-a-kind.”
A great example of the pieces created by Splitting Colours is The Traverse Collection, a set of designs that play with the colour distribution of the natural gemstones, including signature items that feature an artfully crafted diamond arch that separates the bicolour gemstone in a striking way.
“We also enjoy working with our clients on bespoke projects, bringing their ideas from concept to life – it’s an indispensable part of what we do.”
While quick turnarounds can be available, a bespoke project may take six to eight weeks to complete – which is unsurprising when you see the exquisite detail they include!

Forbidden Hill
Blending style and versatility, and an East-meets-West aesthetic with the thrill of customisation, Forbidden Hill’s signature Silk jewellery collections – including Silk Bangles, Cuffs, Earrings and Pendant necklace designs – can be styled with a choice of over 40 mesmerising silk colours that can be switched any time. Its Gemstone Earrings are also customisable, taking on the hue of interchangeable gemstones, such as rubies, emeralds or amethysts. You can effortlessly style anything from this online jewellery store to match your outfit, or even just your mood.
Based in Singapore, the brand’s collections are inspired by past and present Southeast Asia. Collections such as the Lotus, the Hue and the Pavilion are evocative of the region’s beauty, with a contemporary touch – the Lotus captures the graceful form of the namesake flower, while the Hue and Pavilion hint at the lattice work found in the Purple Forbidden City in Hue, Vietnam. Other popular collections are inspired by the cultural heritage of Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. And launching in December is the BKK collection, reflecting the energy of Bangkok. The collections are all designed in Singapore and made by carefully selected production partners in SE Asia.
In addition to interchangeable silks and gemstones, the brand also makes jewellery with vibrantly coloured resin insets, offering more gorgeous pops of colour to finish your look.
With so many ways to style them, Forbidden Hill’s pieces make perfect gifts – you can thoughtfully customise the jewellery with the favourite colours of a friend, a loved one – or yourself! Kama by Raji
Raji has lived in Hong Kong for 19 years and used to work as a lingerie designer before launching her jewellery brand Kama by Raji. Part of her inspiration was a desire to celebrate her heritage by bringing a small piece of Sri Lanka to the international market; she was also driven by a sheer passion for creating wearable art.
The Kama by Raji range includes exquisite semiprecious and precious gemstone jewellery made with only the best quality gemstones sourced in Sri Lanka. Not only is it a country with an abundance of natural gemstones, but it’s also home to expertly trained craftsmen from families who’ve been making jewellery by hand for generations. Just look at the gold earrings below.
Raji notes that clients are showing a lot more interest in coloured gemstones than they were a few years ago. There’s a move to embrace the stunning hues not just of emeralds and sapphires, but of aquamarines, tourmalines, citrines and other stones. Examples of pieces in the Kama by Raji range that reflect this emphasis on colour are the statement solitaire aquamarine ring and Raji’s 3D lotus petal drop gold earrings in green amethyst.

Eden
Eden is an anti-trafficking NGO that aims to bring hope, freedom, support and opportunities to survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The team says that each piece of Eden jewellery is inspired by a true story of courageous escape, and lovingly crafted by a trafficking survivor. When you purchase these pieces, the profits directly benefit the women in their programmes.
In addition to jewellery-making, these women participate in counselling, creative therapies, education and vocational training classes, allowing them to focus on healing and personal growth without the pressure of earning income.
Eden says that its holistic model not only focuses on rescuing individuals but also aims to break the entire trafficking cycle; over 20 years of frontline operation, the brand has successfully rescued over 1,800 survivors across Southeast Asia and reached over 100,000 women and girls.
“Choose to shop meaningfully this season,” they add. “Select gifts that spread joy, support brands that give back, and make a difference with every purchase. Together, we can create a positive impact!”
