The Sleeping Beauty: A Classical Ballet

Stars of Tomorrow 2026 – The Sleeping Beauty will bring Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet to Hong Kong’s Grand Theatre on 29 and 30 August 2026. Presented by The Tsinforn C. Wong Memorial Scholarship and co-organised by the Jean M. Wong School of Ballet, the annual charity performance will feature more than 700 dancers from Hong Kong and overseas. Principal Dancers Yerkin Rakhmatullayev and Shugyla Adepkhan of Astana Opera in Kazakhstan will make special guest appearances, with Rakhmatullayev performing as Prince Désiré alongside young dancers from Hong Kong.
The programme will also include new works created by international guest choreographers and performances by students of the Hong Kong International Summer Dance School. Now in its 66th anniversary year, the Jean M. Wong School of Ballet continues to provide young dancers with opportunities to gain stage experience and engage with international dance artists.
