Mum-Approved Culinary Journey
On 10 and 11 May, The Hari Hong Kong is presenting a series of tasty adventures for Mother’s Day. Lucciola is serving an Italian set that moves from roast Hokkaido scallop to seven-year-aged risotto before a strawberry-white-chocolate finale. Upstairs, Zoku is featuring everything from A5 Miyazaki wagyu to a mochi cake with miso caramel and coconut tuille. And day visitors can linger over The Hari Afternoon Tea, available at The Terrace and The Lounge. This newly introduced elegant afternoon set features homemade treats ranging from snowcrab and ikura tartelettes, to miso salmon finger sandwiches, along with a range of scones and clotted cream, and matcha ice cream and pistachio white chocolate lollipops. There’s optional free-flow champagne too!
A Mother’s Day Treat by the Harbour
Settings don’t get much nicer than at Harbourside Grill, and this year mum can enjoy the beautiful water views along with a special Mother’s Day 2025 menu. The three-course offering starts with a decadent salmon tartare with crème fraiche and Royal Cristal caviar, followed by seared sea bass with cauliflower purée and a shellfish vinaigrette, with a celebratory strawberry and vanilla semifreddo served with a strawberry compote to finish. The menu is $568 per person, though it’s half price for mum when there’s a minimum of two diners.

Jewels & Gems gifts for mums
Since its 2021 debut, Hong Kong independent brand Splitting Colours Jewellery has shown that fine gems can be playful and within reach. Founder-designer Vincee Yip scouts rare single- and dual-tone tourmalines and other stones, then sets each find in precious metals so their natural colour gradients take centre stage. Pieces usually come in below HK$20,000, while a one-to-one service tackles special requests. Fans can discover the brand at its Causeway Bay store, invitation-only trunk shows, online shop and selected overseas stockists. Both ELLE Hong Kong and British Vogue have praised Splitting Colours for its fresh approach in the jewellery scene.

A New Necklace for Mother’s Day
Carolyn Waweru began her jewellery journey creating scarf necklaces with beads that are easy to wear – just tie them in a knot or a bow at the back of your neck. The Ribbon Necklaces are her signature style, crafted in a rainbow of beautiful colours. Each strand is handmade, so no two look alike, and the soft ribbon fastens with a clasp in seconds – ideal for mums who enjoy effortless flair. All the necklaces are made using beads sourced in Hong Kong. What’s more, each order arrives in a fabric pouch ready to post; Carolyn can even add a handwritten card for shipments.
